The Hakka Squad is an unnamed group consisting of two Demons and one Angel. They are part of Hell's Army and have the goal to find and capture Angels.
Creation[]
Hakka and Nikkei became a couple in Hell during their training. They went through the Ascension as part of Hell's Army, whereas Verammi was pulled from Heaven at random due to the Counterreaction. When the three met, they fought throughout the whole day and night, eventually ending up in a draw and with newfound respect and understanding for each other. Since then, Verammi has betrayed her allegiance to Heaven and joined Hell's side as to fight for a "worthy cause".[1]
Dynamics[]
While it was referred to as "Hakka's team", the team has no designated leader, and its members tend to operate separately. Hakka and Nikkei are very close due to being in a romantic relationship, often staying in their own corner to kiss or speak in Sign Lingo. Verammi seems to be fascinated by the two of them, watching them kiss with a smile or a flustered expression, all while denying her potential attraction to Demons. The three of them defer to Iratu and Azurai's authority, although some Demons such as Dakos do not appreciate working with Angels.
Team Capabilities[]
The three squad members are capable fighters. Hakka can defeat a Virtue (Warrior Angel with a Star Emblem) in a fight, using powerful gusts of Wind Magic, and she and Nikkei are of equal strength to Verammi, a Seraph from a Great Warrior Clan of Heaven. Verammi is a strong warrior who can knock out an Angel in one punch, likely due to her strength-boosting Moon Emblem. While Nikkei was not seen fighting Angels, she can hold her own in a free-for-all brawl. As it stands their group has access to the following magic schools:
- Wind Magic [Hakka]
- Fire Magic [Nikkei]
- Earth Magic [Verammi]
- Darkness Magic [All Demons]
- Holy Magic [All Angels]
Verammi's major asset is her status as a Seraph: as an authority figure of Heaven, she would not be suspected of working with Demons, and can command other Angels to obey her; which is useful for luring them into ambushes. She can use Earth Magic to trap them, leaving them to be captured.
Missions[]
Capture Angels for Ascension[]
Hakka has captured at least one Warrior Angel during the Demon Invasion of St. Curtis, and Verammi managed to trap Kazai while letting Kieri free, with the hopes of recruiting her into "the winning side".[2] Hakka would later assist in capturing Kieri and bring her to the Gathering.

Perform Ascension on Mt. Sentinel[]
Nikkei and Verammi left St. Curtis with a cart full of captured Angels, managing to evade Buwaro's berserk rampage. They were last seen headed out of town, presumably towards the ritual site on Mt. Sentinel.

Pursue Mokurynn's Egg[]
On Moonshade's request, Iratu instructed Tsavo to switch places with Hakka's team, so that he could keep researching the Rainbow Reverie on the way to the ritual site. Hakka and her team would escort Moonshade south as to pursue Mokurynn's egg.
