The Grand Library in Heaven.
There are many in-universe books present in Slightly Damned. Most are background elements, but some are featured more prominently and are read by main characters, most often by Kieri.
Most literature is Median in origin, although the Grand Library in Heaven holds a large collection of books in both Lingo and Angelic.
Handbooks[]
These include manuals, course books and guides used to teach skills.

Angelic Lingo Book[]
A Lingo course book for Angels, read by Kieri in Heaven.[1]

Potions I, II, III[]
Three tomes of a manual on potion brewing, owned by Miranda and displayed in the Sinclair Wagon.

Sakido's Book[]
A book used by Sakido to teach Angelic to Demons in her study group, containing recitations[2]. It is coverless and appears made of handwritten sheets bound together. It is so far the only known book of Hell origin.

Sign Lingo for Beginners[]
A book owned by Kinako, which she then gifted to Buwaro and Kieri.[3] It teaches the basics of Sign Lingo, which they used to communicate during Kieri's mute episode.

Your Wyvern & You[]
A book Jake gave Kieri for her birthday after she met Crunky.[4] It explains how to take care of pet Wright Wyverns. It features illustrations, which puzzled Kieri as to Crunky's appearance.
Storybooks[]
These include fictional stories, most often aimed at young children.

Animal Tales[]
A children's story book owned by the Sinclairs.[5] It contains several animal-related fairy tales.
The Puppy who Looked for a Family[]
A story about a puppy searching for a family, and eventually finding one in the two-headed Wright Wyvern, the toxic quail and the jackalope. Kieri, Buwaro, Miranda and even Cliff cried upon hearing Rhea tell them that story.

Claimed by the King of Wolves[]
A Median fiction featuring a romance between a Human and Broxis the Wolf. It was donated to Heaven's library.

Inpatient Romance[]
A Median fiction written by M. Ushystuff, presumably about a romance between a doctor and their patient.[6] It made Kieri fantasize about Buwaro taking care of her in the same way.

Mermaid Princess[]
A Median fiction written by P.K Terrapin, set in the Dragon Islands Archipelago, featuring a Merfolk princess, Water Dragons and Blackbeak the Pirate King.[7] It was Kieri's favorite book as a child, which she rediscovered in her later years. There is a second tome called Blackbeak's Revenge.

The Big Book of Fairy Tales[]
A collection of stories owned by the Sinclairs.[8] It contains the following stories:[9]
- The Bloody Shovel of Regret
- Ms. Cow and the Ice Cream Shop Secret
- The Ice-Covered Doll
- Revenge of the Fairy Queen
- The Monster and the Maiden, a Beauty and the Beast-esque story with added zombie hordes, flaming crossbows and an ultra cannon hyper blast.
- Several stories of Ramirez the Pirate, including that of his fight against the sea monster Ghal'rhea, which is the story where Ramirez and Rhea got their names from.
- The legend of how Dragons fought over which of them would become a Guardian, and created the Dragon Islands Archipelago in their battle.

The Collected Stories of Ramirez the Pirate[]
A collection of Ramirez the Pirate stories that Kieri gifted Rhea for her own birthday.[10] The text is very small and Buwaro found it difficult to read, to the point of asking whether this book was made for Fairies. He and Kieri read it together at night.

The Lonely Puppy[]
A children's book Kieri perused while shopping in Farun.[11]

The Lost Puppy[]
A children's book owned by Tirol.[12] He used it to smack Kazai in the face.

The Winter Solstice[]
A children's book featuring the three Guardians of Water: Toski the Rabbit, Broxis the Wolf and Milothys the Dolphin.[13]
Other[]
These include non-fiction stories, as well as other significant books.
Book of Records[]
A large tome owned by Death which holds the date and cause of death of every Median, as well as their afterlife sentence.
Darius' Diary[]
A diary kept by Darius Elexion, telling of his arrival into the Ring of the Slightly Damned and the family he met there. It was also written in by Sakido and Kieri.

St. Curtis Buzz[]
A bee-themed newspaper published in St. Curtis, read by Cliff.[14] It told of the destruction of Weyville, the death of the shopkeeper in Riverside City, a drought in the Dragon Island Archipelago, and the presence of Angels, Demons and resurrected souls on Medius.

The Great War[]
A chronicle of the history of the Great War, approved by the Historians' Guild, featuring stories of Heaven and Hell as well as the legend of the hero Valfe.[15]
